SemiRestore needs OpenSSH installed on the jailbroken device (go to Cydia > Search ‘OpenSSH’ > Click install button located at top right corner of the application). By default, every iPhone or iPad’s root password is “alpine”.

Upgraded their Pangu iOS 9.1 Jailbreak tool to version to 1.3.1 for Windows and version 1.1.1 for Mac, the only notable change appears to be stability improvements. This is specifically important for users who have attempted to jailbreak iOS 9.1 and faced some problems, most notably the infamous boot loop.

For those that are already jailbroken on iOS 9 – iOS 9.1, an update available in Cydia to make the untether more stable overall. If you see this update in Cydia, it is highly recommended to apply it.

The Pangu 9 Jailbreak team claims that this update will make the untether boot quickly more often. Early reports seem to indicate the team has been successful doing that.

Step by step guide for Pangu iOS 9.1 Jailbreak windows

  • Backup your device and connect it to your PC via USB.
  • Disable Find My iPhone via Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone.
  • Disable Passcode and Touch ID via Settings > Touch ID & Passcode.
  • Enable Airplane mode via Control Center.
  • Download the Pangu 9 jailbreak tool for iOS 9 from our downloads link and run it.
  • Start the Pangu 9.1 jailbreak by clicking the Start button and click Already Backup when prompted.
  • Your iPhone will reboot and Pangu tool will ask you to put your iPhone back into Airplane mode. Once you do this, it will continue the jailbreak process.

  • Your iPhone will reboot again. Once you reboot, disable Airplane mode, and run the Cydia app.
