PanGu / TaiG iOS 9.3 – iOS 9.3.2 Jailbreak Status Update

It hasn’t been possible to jailbreak the latest version of iOS ever since Apple patched the jailbreak exploits in iOS 9.1. Pangu Team, a well-known jailbreak team, released a new version of their popular Pangu 9 Jailbreak tool to Jailbreak iOS 9.1 and lower versions.

Apple responded quickly to kill the Pangu iOS 9.1 Jailbreak by releasing iOS 9.2, which patched several vulnerabilities used by Pangu team. It continued patching some more exploits in iOS 9.2.1 and iOS 9.3 used in the Pangu Jailbreak. But reputed jailbreak teams responded recently, by releasing iOS 9.3 Jailbreak and iOS 9.3.2 Jailbreak for it’s beta version. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work with public versions.

Apple always release new updates with fixes the vulnerabilities used by the jailbreak team and also stops signing the older iOS firmware file, which prevents iOS device users from downgrading back to the older iOS version that can be jailbreak. So you can’t downgrade to iOS 9.1 or lower, because Apple has stopped signing the firmware file. Apple has used this strategy to keep away from jailbreak for Apple devices.

TaiG / Pangu iOS 9.3.2 Jailbreak Status

The reason why everyone has been so hopeful about iOS 9.3 Jailbreak or later has been because hackers have confirmed that they have successfully jailbroken iOS 9.3 beta versions, including the final iOS 9.3.2 beta version.

Luca Todesco, the hacker who had successful demoed the iOS 9.3 jailbreak with video proof, has said that he has no plans of releasing a jailbreak to the public. But it is good proof for iOS 9.3 can be jailbroken and hopefully, Pangu or the TaiG jailbreak teams can figure out how to jailbreak iOS 9.3 – iOS 9.3.2 and release it to the public.
